Happy December to you! We cannot be the only ones wondering where the year has gone, but it’s officially the holiday season. We all love this time of year because we’re able to celebrate the season with friends and family, kickoff the new year, and watch as so many become brides and grooms to be. It’s going to be a wonderful month; it always is!
In November, our fall wedding season came to a wonderful close at The Kimmel Center. Monica and Andrew’s day began at the incomparable Hyatt at The Bellevue. The pair captured photos throughout some of Philadelphia’s most picturesque parks (the foliage was on full display!) before their ceremony and reception at the Kimmel Center. We cannot wait until we see our first peeks at the photos from Asya Photography!

In the News: We are beyond thrilled to be on the front cover of Martha Stewart Weddings! We are always quick to share the weddings we plan, but we kept Carrie and Mike’s New Year’s Eve celebration under wraps for nearly a year. C+M’s wedding celebration was epic, but we did not expect anything less than incredible from Carrie who is the editor for Philadelphia Wedding. The day began at The Logan – one of our favorite hotels – and continued at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul where Carrie’s uncle presided over the ceremony. The celebration continued at the Please Touch Museum where champagne corks served as escort cards, carousel rides were enjoyed throughout cocktail hour, and Dreamtime kept guests on the dance floor until well past midnight when confetti flew into the air. We would not have wanted to spend our first moments of 2016 with anyone other than Amanda, D’Andrea, Beke Beau, CinemaCake, and Sullivan Owen. Real Wedding: We love sharing our couple’s love stories, and Chris and Liya’s is difficult to forget. C+L met in Russia! Both were many miles away from Philadelphia pursuing academic and professional goals. Once they returned to the States, their romance continued! While planning their wedding, inviting their guests into nature while also having the ability to be inside and outside was paramount. Thankfully, the city is home to the Horticulture Center, which became the perfect venue. Together with Love ‘n Fresh Flowers, M2 Photography, Starr Events, and more, Chris and Liya enjoyed a beautiful reception with their family and friends! Make sure to visit our blog for much more.
Now Trending: In the middle of November, we learned we had been chosen by The Knot as one of their Best of Weddings award recipients! Toward the end of each year, the esteemed brand reviews all of the professionals on their site. However, the awards are presented based on the reviews left by past couples. To all of our past couples who have taken the time to write us a note, thank you. You brighten our days and allow us to work with more incredible brides and grooms – some of whom are your family, friends, and colleagues – and we feel honored to plan, coordinate, and style so many monumental weddings each year. This award, like many others, is because of you. We’re grateful.
