The cherry blossoms bloomed in Fairmount Park, which means spring has officially arrived! We always love watching the city come to life again because it also means this year’s wedding season is officially in full swing. Although every weekend has not been spent planning just yet, the past few months have felt like a whirlwind, and we cannot wait to share the details with you.
One of our biggest goals for 2019 was to share more great content with you, and we are off to a great start! A few years ago, we started sharing the Pinterest pins and Instagram posts you loved the most, and our Styled Social Media series officially made a comeback. We also knew it was time to update our wedding venue blog post, so we rounded up excellent finds in Philadelphia, Bucks County, New Jersey, and beyond. These are all places where we have worked and would highly recommend for your celebration! There’s even more on the blog, and we’re sharing more details below.
Late winter was also feature season for our couples! Elisabeth and Ethan’s gorgeous Fairmount Park Horticulture Center wedding was featured on Philadelphia Wedding Magazine, and we shared more about them on our blog. Plus, Andrea and Matt’s circus-themed wedding (and engagement!) was featured on Philadelphia Wedding Magazine as well! Carats & Cake shared Kelsey and Max’s classic wedding day at Weyhill Guest House, and Modern Luxury Weddings posted about Elizabeth and Chris. We have felt so grateful to see so many of our couples on the web thanks to these outlets!
Below, you will find a beautiful new real wedding, our thoughts on whether or not a wedding videographer should be on your radar, a fun feature all about wedding day music with one of our go-to pros, and more!
Before we go, we thought we would offer a sneak peek of the wedding locations where we will be visiting for the rest of the spring and early summer. We’re kicking things off by hitting the road to Long Beach Island and Stockton, New Jersey. Then we’re off to the Anthony Wayne House, Aronimink Golf Club, Ballroom at Ellis Preserve, Cairnwood Estate, and the Philadelphia Cricket Club! Make sure to follow along on Instagram to see the latest.
Happy spring!
xo,
Susan + The Styled Bride Team

REAL WEDDING:
We are celebrating Erica and Conor’s wedding at the Downtown Club! These two both started their day at Hotel Monoaco where they each got ready with their bridesmaids and groomsmen. It’s one of our favorite places to spend a wedding morning! Next, we traveled to St. Augustine’s Church for their ceremony before heading to the reception. E+C’s day was so beautifully classic, which was such a testament to their style. Fabufloras Designs created all of the blooms, BVT’s City Rhythm kept guests on the dance floor, and Emily Wren Photography and Tweed Video captured every moment. We can’t wait to share more!

NOW TRENDING:
At the beginning of each year, we always enjoy exploring the colors and details that are expected to trend. And, this year we expect personalized weddings to be the most popular! As Susan noted to Philadelphia Wedding Magazine, “Feeling like something is in or out is silly and a lot of pressure. If something will bring you joy, then have it. No one is going to look back in 20 years and tell you the wedding was the best thing ever or the worst over a doughnut wall.”

Q: Should we hire a videographer?
A: The choice is completely up to you, but you may find it truly valuable to have a videographer by your side on your wedding day. A video will allow you to relive your day – with movement – over and over again, plus a video will also capture the moments you may miss because it’s impossible to see every reaction. Finally, there will be friends and family who won’t always be present throughout your lifetime. Having memories captured of them (with you!) on video is priceless.
AROUND TOWN:
The band or DJ at your wedding is one of the pieces that can influence your day the most. So, we thought we would go behind the scenes with one of our go-to pros – Kaitlin Sweeney from EastCoast Entertainment! Kaitlin shares the ins-and-outs of one of her days with one of the top wedding entertainment companies in our area, and she also details her wedding favorites, including must-play songs.
