The 9 Just-Launched Wedding Businesses We Love in Philadelphia

With venues ranging from cool restaurants to storied museums, Philadelphia is a unique hub for weddings. Couples love the heart behind our hometown city, and we love forging relationships between our brides and grooms and the creative professionals who can make their visions a reality. We may be biased when we say it, but in our opinion, there’s nothing like a Philadelphia wedding.

Our couples and go-to wedding professionals aren’t the only ones who have taken note of Philadelphia and our wedding scene. Now, companies large and small are moving to our City of Brotherly Love to launch new venues, products, and more, and we couldn’t be more excited for this level of growth. So, today we thought we would highlight nine of the new (and already established) businesses that are now joining us in calling Philadelphia home.

Alton Lane Suits

You already know how much we love Philadelphia-based BHLDN, and now the retailer has officially launched a line of men’s suits! Alton Lane is a brand originally launched in Richmond, and BHLDN took note. The company offers suits, tuxedos, and accessories with the same classic-meets-bohemian flair we’ve all come to love from BHLDN, so it seems like a match made in wedding fashion heaven. Plan to browse through Alton Lane’s collection of shirts, pants, and blazers for cocktail-style weddings, or switch to tuxedos for a black-tie event. They even carry shoes, and they can dress your groomsmen too. Who doesn’t love one-stop shopping with a brand you already know, trust, and love?

Grace Loves Lace

We’re asked often about the bridal boutiques we recommend for wedding dresses and bridesmaids, and we can officially add Grace Loves Lace to our list! The brand is known for its handcrafted wedding dresses that do, in fact, almost always feature lace. Consider a silk slip style, an off-the-shoulder silhouette, or a vintage-inspired design with long sleeves. Most of the gowns are less than $3,000, and each one is more romantic than the last. Plan to visit Grace Loves Lace’s new Philadelphia showroom.

Jane Win Jewelry

In case you’re trying to decide on your bridesmaids’ jewelry or you’re searching for something special for yourself, we recently heard about Jane Win. The brand is known for its pendants, and they have bridal and wedding party-specific lines. You can also take a peek at the brand’s line of fine jewelry, and you can even shop for pieces that embody a specific positive word, like “forever”, “hope”, or “lucky”. Jane Win is located in Wayne, and they do open their showroom for appointments.

Mari Mi

Not only can we add Grace Loves Lace to our list of wedding shops we can recommend to our brides, but we can also share Mari Mi with them! Unlike Grace Loves Lace which sells its own designs, Mari Mi is a hub for luxury designers you already know and love (think: Badgley Mischka, Enzoani, Pronovias, and Rosa Clara). Not only does Mari Mi carry wedding dresses for any type of event, they also have accessories, like veils and hairpieces, so you can create your complete wedding look with their team. We’re so excited for you to visit this shop on Race Street!

JM & Co.

We also discovered JM & Co., but the Old City-based team has been together for more than four years. They offer both hair and makeup services for wedding days, which is important to note. While there are plenty of teams who specialize in one or the other, there’s always a sense of ease when we get to work with one group that has artists who do it all. Plan to meet JM & Co. at their studio for a hair or makeup trial (or do both!). They also offer microblading and makeup for events.

Victoria Roggio Day Spa

Have you heard about Victoria Roggio? It’s a Philadelphia-based brand that offers a complete range of skincare products, and they also have a coveted day spa. You can visit for manicures and pedicures, as well as facials, massages, and even makeup. We definitely recommend visiting if you’re a bride, but we also recommend inviting your bridesmaids and your mom because there are group appointments available. Let us know what you think!

Lilah

Lilah is a brand new wedding venue debuting in Philadelphia from CookNSolo, which is the team behind countless beloved Philadelphia restaurants, including Zahav. As they say on their site, Lilah is inspired by all of the monumental moments that happen in restaurants, from dates to proposals, and the space is designed to continue that celebratory feeling. Located on Front Street with the ability to welcome up to 250 guests, Lilah balances modern style with industrial design. Expect to find exposed steel beams, rustic-inspired brick walls, and plenty of natural light. To us, it has Terrain vibes, and we’re eager to design and plan for couples in this new beautiful location!

LMNO

Fishtown is one of our favorite neighborhoods in Philadelphia, and the excellent restaurants in the area help to prove our point. One spot that’s definitely worth knowing more about is LMNO. They specialize in tacos (and margaritas), and they serve lunch and dinner during the weekend and brunch and dinner on the weekends. They’re known for their Asada Fries, but they also have Mexican staples on their menu, like guacamole, tostadas, and tacos. Plan to go for food and drinks and then don’t be surprised when you linger longer in their bookstore and art gallery.

Sugar Factory

Whether you’re planning a Philadelphia bachelorette party or you’re simply looking for a fun spot to gather with your bridesmaids, definitely put Sugar Factory on your list. The candy shop, restaurant, and bar are popular in plenty of other cities already, and they’ve finally landed in Center City! The menu items definitely lean toward decadence, so plan to visit for lunch (or dinner) in the restaurant or pop upstairs and hang in the bar (you can order from the full menu while you’re there). Of course, candy is a given, and there are styled walls for photos too!
