How they met & started planning-
When Jacky received a message from Bruce on Match.com in 2016, her first reaction was to say, “He has cool style.” It’s safe to say J+B learned they have much more in common than their style alone because they’ve been together ever since! But, style was paramount once more while we were planning their October 2019 wedding at Moulin. Jacky and Bruce wanted to established a defined cool, bohemian aesthetic, and we worked together to compile the ultimate team to make their wedding day vision a reality.
How they started the day –
Jacky and Bruce each spent their wedding day mornings getting ready at The Logan. Thanks to their beautiful accommodations and central location, this hotel will forever be one of our go-to suggestions for couples! Once they were ready, Jacky and Bruce shared their first look at The Logan before boarding their bus with their wedding party to capture photos throughout Philadelphia.
The ceremony –
In advance of their ceremony in the round, Jacky and Bruce arrived at Moulin with their wedding party where they saw a few sneak peeks of their ceremony and reception designs. We must highlight the ceremony space because Terrain Events created a cozy and cool environment with benches placed in a circle and rugs laid on the floor accented with florals. Jacky and her parents arrived by vintage truck before she walked down the aisle, and J+B’s family friend officiated their ceremony.
Cocktails & Reveal –
Post-vows, Jacky and Bruce captured more photos with Redfield Photography before slipping into their cocktail hour where a custom craft Tonewood beer was revealed to them. Guests mingled together while LA Starz played, and they also made sure to take a peek at their seating assignments, which were on custom moveable walls created by House of Catherine.
Reception –
Another room reveal happened when House of Catherine’s walls were slid over to welcome guests into the reception space. Bud vases and plenty of candles lined each long table, and we have to point out how much we loved the neon sign designed by House of Catherine. Guests dined on a menu created by Brulee Catering’s team, and they also spent plenty of time on the dance floor thanks to the incredible sounds of EBE’s LA Starz. It’s safe to say they’re one of our favorite bands!
The Party –
Before the night came to a close, confetti fell on the dance floor, and that officially solidified Jacky and Bruce’s wedding as one of our favorites from our 2019 season. Philadelphia Wedding Magazine also loved their fete as it’s featured in the current issue that’s on newsstands now! We do hope you will take a peek at the magazine as well as Jacky and Bruce’s wedding video by Inzi Films.
