The Styled Note – Farewell 2018

Happy 2019! To us, it has felt as though 2018 has flown by in quite the wonderful blur. We planned more weddings last year than in year’s past. What’s more, 2018 saw us planning, styling, and coordinating for our couples and their families and friends in a complete variety of locations and venues throughout the year. Before we bid 2018 one final farewell, we thought we would share a few more highlights with you.

Because of you, the holidays arrived early for us this year being named one of the Best Wedding Planners in America by Brides! Being included among the pages of such prestigious names is a dream come true, and we were floored when the announcement was made. We also received The Knot’s 2019 Best of Weddings award again, and that’s because of all of the wonderful reviews we receive from our couples. Thank you for helping us to soar!

2018 was also a year for features! We cheered on the new, beautiful Modern Luxury Weddings Magazine as they celebrated their first issue, and we were thrilled to see James and Alaina’s gorgeous wedding at The Logan featured. Plus, the Philadelphia Inquirer shared Rochelle and Nicholas’s wedding announcement. It was also such a treat to be interviewed for KYW’s “There’s No Season Like Wedding Season” episode over the summer.

In case you haven’t seen it yet, we launched a new website last spring! Now you can peruse all of our blog content (there are so many great posts!), services, notes from our couples, and our portfolio in a much easier way. Even months later, we still love the results!

As we mentioned earlier, our couples hosted weddings in some of the most unique places in 2018. We planned soirees at private estates in Maryland, on farms in Delaware, and traveled to Skytop Lodge in the Poconos (we’re returning very soon!). We celebrated at The Horticulture Center, The Logan, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Rodin Museum. From museums to country clubs, distilleries to hotels (and everywhere in between!), 2018 was a year to remember for our entire team.

Below you will find a whimsical wedding at New Liberty Distillery, the best things you can do on your wedding day, when to book a wedding planner, and more!

Make sure to follow along on Facebook and Instagram. We will share our first wedding of 2019 at Terrain at Devon Yards very soon!

Cheers to 2019! We hope you enjoy this wonderful year.

Real Wedding:

Kelly and Michael first met in high school, but they didn’t start dating until 2010. Since, they have traveled the world, performed in a band, adopted two cats, moved to Philadelphia, and more together! In October, they officially added “get married” to their ever-evolving list! The pair welcomed their guests to New Liberty Distillery for both their ceremony and reception. Texture created all of the florals throughout, plus they also designed a fun and colorful balloon arch that appeared by the dance floor. K+M love their cats, so custom stationery details from Hello, Bird were a must, and so was the cake and desserts from Cake Life. DJ Chris Ward kept the dance floor packed all night long, Miles Table provided the catering, and Love Me Do Photography captured every moment. We loved this wedding!

Once planning is well underway, our couples always ask us what they’re missing. The must-haves are determined, but it’s the smaller details that can truly make your day feel like your own. On the blog, we’re sharing how hiring a private car, personalizing your wedding, and taking time to spend alone together can make your wedding day even better.

Q: When should we start working with a wedding planner?

A: Whenever feels best to you! Whether you just got engaged or are planning the final details before you walk down the aisle, think of your wedding planner as your guide. The biggest misconception about planners is we plan your wedding for you. Instead, our primary focus is to meet you where you are and plan your wedding with you. We’re booking for 2020.

Around Town:

Our friends at Philadelphia Wedding Magazine launched a helpful roundup of venues! Now, you can peruse their list in order to narrow down the options you would like to see in person. Expect to find a complete variety too. Their team detailed everything from how to get married at a sports venue to the best spots down the shore (and many in between!).
