Happy May to you! Even though the temperatures recently might not agree, our spring wedding season is well underway. We love this time each year because we’re able to put the final touches on many weddings and see everything we have visualized for months with our couples come to life thanks to the talents of so many incredible wedding professionals.
April was filled with a number of beautiful celebrations. A few highlights were a lovely celebration at The Fairmount Horticulture Center where the wedding party debuted an epic choreographed dance as a surprise to the couple, two beautiful weddings at The Logan, a modern fete at the Kimmel Center, and a stunning private estate wedding at a waterfront home in Maryland. April offered the perfect peek into what we know is going to be a fabulous season!
Outside of planning for and celebrating with our couples, we also wanted to share we debuted a brand new look on our website! Have you stopped by? As we welcome May, we’re also putting the final touches on this month’s celebrations. Not only will we be planning through May, but we will also be filling our blog with brand new content each month. Real Wedding:
When a couple’s wedding hashtag is #LoveOnCherryLane, you know their wedding day is going to be incredible! Alyssa and Eric were a delight to work with throughout the final months leading up to their April 7, 2018 wedding day. They welcomed their guests to both their ceremony and reception at The Logan, which was the perfect choice for a couple who was drawn to relaxed, modern style.
Both A+E spent their mornings getting ready at The Logan before their first look at The Logan’s rooftop bar, Assembly. The moment they shared while enjoying the fantastic view of Philadelphia from Assembly’s unique vantage point will forever be one of our favorites. They made sure to check the Flyer’s score throughout the day (the team won, and we’re certain is was for them!) before their ceremony, which was led by two close friends. Once married, Alyssa and Eric enjoyed cocktail hour where guests collected their hockey puck escort cards before being welcomed into the reception. For the rest of the night, A+E were on the dance floor because EBE’s Barcelona kept the dance floor full!
We adored working with Beke Beau, Amanda D’Andrea, and Carl Alan Floral Designs throughout the day. And, we would be remiss if we didn’t thank Kelli Wilke for capturing Alyssa and Eric’s day so perfectly!

Q: What Philadelphia hotels do you love to recommend to brides and grooms for their getting ready location?
A: I always like to recommend locations that are centralized because they allow for the easiest access to many ceremony and reception locations. Plus, a larger space makes such a difference when bridesmaids are gathered together in the bride’s room for hair and makeup. The other key thing to consider is natural light – photos are always more beautiful when there’s lots of it! The Logan, Hotel Monaco, and Lokal Hotel are a few of my go-to spots.
