Happy August to you! Can you believe the final weeks of summer are on the horizon? We always feel we wait all year for summer, and then it flies by faster than any other season. In between planning weddings, we will be enjoying each and every warm summer night while we still can!
July was one for the books. We spent the month tying together all of the details for two gorgeous weddings! The first was at the Barnes Foundation. This was the first time we have experienced this stunningly modern space, and we’re thrilled we already have dates that will bring us back. Sheela and Evan opted to host their ceremony outside, and the incredible aspect about the Barnes is the outdoor ceremony space is completely shielded from the elements (we experienced quite the storm!). Guests mingled inside for cocktail hour while having the opportunity to explore some of the exhibits before coming together for dinner in the adjacent reception space. It was such a wonderful evening!
If you are following us on Instagram, you may have seen our live Insta Story from Cape May! Jeanne and David celebrated their new union at Jeanne’s beautiful family property. EventQuip pitched a number of tents for us throughout the property, Beautiful Blooms created gorgeous bouquets, centerpieces, and more, and Maggpie’s vintage furniture was a hit (as always!). We’re so thankful Sarah DiCicco Photography already shared a few sneak peeks with us because Jeanne was one of the loveliest brides, and we adore Dave just as much!
We received a few more sweet reviews on The Knot, plus Sweetwater Portraits shared Whitney and Ray’s wedding on their blog. We welcomed Flutter Social to the Styled Bride blog for our latest Styled Day feature, and we shared a new real wedding. As you can tell, July was a happy and full month.
With weddings planned at Saucon Valley Country Club, Terrain, and The Logan Philadelphia, August is shaping up to be just as busy! Make sure you’re following along with us on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. We’re certain there are more sneak peeks and features coming your way soon.
Happy August!

Real Wedding:
Family and friends traveled to Philadelphia from as far away as England, Kenya, and Switzerland, and Lauren and Jason’s Waterworks celebration did not disappoint! They recited their vows under a chuppah designed by Love ‘n Fresh Flowers before rejoining their guests for their reception complete with bistro lights strung throughout the space by Beautiful Blooms to create a stunning glow. Of course, the Schuylkill River, Boathouse Row, and Philadelphia’s skyline created quite the backdrop! The pair adored having their friends and family in the same space celebrating with them, which is why they encouraged guests to stay on the dance floor with them until 2 a.m. But, when the band is 45 Riots and the late night DJ is MXM, you can understand why! Thanks so much to Erica Camille for capturing every photo and Tweed Weddings for the video! Make sure to stop by the blog to see much more.

Now Trending:
We always love featuring the best Philadelphia wedding professionals in our Styled Day series, and this month the ladies from Flutter Social shared a behind the scenes peek into their business! Kaleigh and Marcie highlight some of the city’s best real weddings and the pros who create them through their social platform, and we’re proud members of the site. Hop over to the blog to see what it’s like to run a site and how you can use it to plan your wedding!

Q: What is the best way to handle rain on my wedding day?
A: Always, always have a backup plan you’re comfortable putting into place. You will want to talk to your photographer about alternate locations for photos. Plus, if you’re having a tented reception, you will want to run through all of the options for that. Does the tent have walls? Will guests be comfortable if we put the walls down? Do we have flooring in place? Where will our ceremony be held? These are all questions we frequently answer with our couples!

Around Town:
We are returning to one of the area’s best hidden gems for a wedding this month, and we might have to go back a few more times! Terrain has a fun roster of events planned for August. There are two opportunities to enjoy yoga in their garden, which is the same outdoor space used often for wedding ceremonies. Needless to say, it’s a beautiful location! Plus, they’re teaming up with Happy Cat Farm for a four-course dinner with an heirloom tomato focus in honor of the harvest. Check out this page for more and to make reservations!
