The Styled Note – November

Happy November to you! It’s the coziest month of fall, and we’re so looking forward to time spent with family as well as a few wedding celebrations (of course!). Before we let November get too far ahead of us, let’s take a peek back at October.

We simply love announcing when we are featured on blogs and websites, and it felt as though we were constantly debuting new weddings – what a joy! We’re sharing so much more about Julia and Andrew’s wedding below, but you can also go straight to our blog if you want to learn more right away. Micaela and John’s bright summer wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty, and we must mention Fleur De Lis did an incredible job capturing Micaela’s vision for her flowers. Jessica and Chuck had already been a couple for a decade prior to their wedding day, so it’s not a surprise to us that their wedding video from Tweed captures their soiree and relationship beautifully. Plus, we’re sharing the details behind a fantastic Style Me Pretty feature below (hint: both the bride and groom are fashion buyers!).

October was spent at the John James Audubon Society and at a private home, and this month we’re off to the Glen Foerd Estate and the Kimmel Center! We also styled a photo shoot at Ridley State Park with The Flwry and Asya Photography. With so much excitement, Facebook and Instagram are the best places to go for peeks behind the scenes.

Before we bid adieu and wish you a Happy Thanksgiving, we do have to point out that we’re sharing a charity registry alternative and a fun feature with Honeyfund! Make sure to keep reading and have a wonderful month! From the entire Styled Bride Team, we’re so grateful for you.

In the News: Danielle is a buyer for Bloomingdale’s and Kyle is a buyer for Ralph Lauren. With such impeccable taste, Ashford Estate was the most perfect venue for D+K. With it’s classic architecture and timeless details, their venue provided a welcome respite from New York City for the couple and all of their guests. On a sunny Saturday in June, guests gathered in the garden for cocktails prior to the ceremony, which took place later in a beautiful white barn. Post vows, everyone mingled in the conservatory and on the patio for cocktails during golden hour. Dinner and dancing awaited Danielle and Kyle and their family and friends inside the elegant French style chateau. Between Sullivan Owen’s floral designs and Rebecca Yale’s photography, this wedding is not to be missed on Style Me Pretty!

Real Wedding: Andrew asked Julia’s friend for directions in the middle of Brooklyn, and Julia’s friend had a suspicion this wayward gent might be Julia’s perfect match. She was right! After their first dinner together, the two have been inseparable. On their wedding day, rain caused the ceremony to be moved inside moments before it was to begin. However, this last minute switch provided a much more intimate atmosphere inside Welkinweir Estate. After the ceremony, the couple and their guests retreated inside a tent complete with flowers from Oleander and vintage pieces from Maggpie Rentals. The setting was beautiful, and White Label made sure guests danced the night away. There’s so many more photos from Logan Cole on our blog!

Q: How do I style my wedding party and keep my event’s aesthetic in mind?
A: Similar to choosing a wedding venue, deciding upon the attire your bridesmaids and groomsmen will wear is largely determined by your wedding’s style, color palette, and overall personality. From opting for all neutrals or wearing a flower crown to adding props or being candid, we’re sharing our best tips! You can find all of the info in our feature on Honeyfund!

Around Town: We’re often asked by our couples for registry alternatives that allow them to give back, and we think we may have just found the ultimate solution: The Good Beginning! The Good Beginning allows you to choose from one of the many organization they support or one you already know and love to create a charity based registry. The options are endless, and the site is so simple for you and your guests to navigate!
