Happy October to you! We hope you have kicked off the month wonderfully, and we’re happy as always to welcome you to another edition of The Styled Note.
We planned and celebrated our couples often in September! The month began with two weddings at the Horticulture Center (we adored this pair), and we continued to travel throughout the city and beyond to Eagle Oaks Golf Club, Barley Sheaf Farm, and the Sheraton in Eatonton, New Jersey. In between all of the planning and sharing on Instagram, we also received exciting news, which we’re sharing below. Make sure to keep reading!
Fall is definitely upon us, which means fall wedding season is well underway too! We began October with two weddings – one in New Jersey and another at Springton Manor. We are continuing with more celebrations throughout the month at the John James Audubon Center, and we’re particularly looking forward to an intimate wedding for 70 guests set at a private home. We always share peeks behind the scenes on Facebook and Instagram, so make sure you’re following along.
Below you will find details about Caroline and Mike’s exciting Green Wedding Shoes feature, plus we shared our answers with Bridal Guide to a number of the questions our brides ask us the most. We’re also so excited for Philadelphia Wedding as they celebrate their 20th anniversary! Make sure to pick up their latest issue!
We hope you have a wonderful weekend (if you love wedding dresses, Bridal Fashion Week is underway in NYC!), and we hope you have a festive October! We’re already looking forward to sharing details from this month in our next note to you.
Real Wedding: Green Wedding Shoes featured a wonderful post about Caroline and Mike’s wedding! Their outdoor wedding had a backyard barbeque feel, which worked wonderfully with their shared goal to create a complete outdoor experience for their guests. Lawn games, a photo booth, a kid’s cave, and more were all on hand! Plus, we love how Caroline’s custom Frank Agostino dress matched their aesthetic perfectly. We’ve worked with Paper Antler several times, and we always count down to the wedding days when we have Michelle and Jonny capturing every moment. You will have to visit the site to see more from this private residence wedding that also features the work of Chick Invitations, Nutmeg Cake Design, Beautiful Blooms, and Sweetwater Portraits!
Now Trending: We hinted at exciting news above, and we’re thrilled to share it here! We’re honored to join the ranks as one of the 20 best wedding planners in Philadelphia. Expertise named us to their esteemed list, and we can’t deny we’re in incredible company. Expertise reviews thousands of different professionals from varied professions, and they reviewed almost 300 area planners before deciding on their top list! Note: We have select dates available for 2017 weddings, and we would love to work with you!
Q: What to do when you’ve had enough and need to put your foot down while planning your wedding?
A: “This is where a planner can help, as they can sometimes be a great buffer when you need to explain why something may not be the best idea.” – Wedding Director, Susan Norcross
Susan also explained to Bridal Guide how to politely explain why you’re not inviting kids to your wedding, how to say no to wedding vendors, how to best work with your wedding planner, and more.
Around Town: In honor of their 20th anniversary, Philadelphia Wedding hosted an incredible party at Water Works! This Cescaphe Event Group venue has incredible views of the Philadelphia Art Museum and Delaware River (we’ve planned a few weddings in the space!), and the celebration looks like it was stunning. We would expect nothing less from the incomparable Philadelphia Wedding team, and we’re definitely celebrating them!
