While we will never be opposed to a classic wedding held in a hotel ballroom, Philadelphia has a host of other venue styles ready to welcome you for your fete. From museums and estates to wineries and homes, we’re going to be sharing all of the details on a host of different venues over the coming weeks in a new Now Trending series solely focused on venues. Up first: museum weddings!
If you follow us on Instagram or even just read our blog, you will quickly learn how often we’re styling weddings and coordinating events for our couples at museums throughout the city. We love the Franklin Institute for it’s high-ceiling and completely welcoming rotunda, plus your ceremony can be set inside the Institute’s planetarium. Last year we were fortunate to spend two separate evenings inside the Please Touch Museum. With it’s bright colors, gorgeous atrium, and cocktail area space complete with a carousel (that guests always love!) it’s the perfect site for a whimsical day. The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art is a wonderful option for modern weddings, and we are thrilled to be able to begin recommending The Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Barnes Museum (both venues recently announced their respective sites are opening venues for weddings!).
From venues we have been to again and again to those we can’t wait to set foot in for the first time for a wedding, we’re so excited about what the future holds for museum weddings in Philadelphia. However, before we jump too far ahead, we thought we would take a look back at some of our favorite museum moments from past weddings below!

Make sure to stay tuned to our Now Trending: Venue series because our recaps of wineries, estates, and homes are still on the way!
