Happy May to you! We’re sure you noticed on Instagram, but we had a whirlwind of a weekend. We’ve spent both Saturday and Sunday celebrating, styling, and coordinating weddings for couples at the Horticulture Center. We know we shouldn’t choose favorites, but it’s one of our most-loved venues.
Before jump fully into May, there are (of course!) weddings and features to highlight from April. We were thrilled to join the team from Philadelphia Wedding in New York City for Bridal Market where we previewed all of the latest and most beautiful gowns from top designers. We’re sharing much more about the experience below in Now Trending! Plus, we were honored to be asked how couples can pause for a few moments alone during their wedding day. We’re chatting more about the Philadelphia Wedding feature below in our Q&A section. It wouldn’t be a Styled Note without a real wedding – keep reading below to see more from K&C’s epic wedding day.
As our team preps for multiple weddings almost every weekend this month, it’s safe to say May is going to keep us on our toes. You’ll find us in Philadelphia, Mercer, Montgomery and Bucks County, so make sure you’re following along for what is sure to be a fun month of sneak peeks. Remember, you can always find us on Facebook, Instagram (our favorite platform!), and Pinterest.
We wish you a wonderful month + a fun kick-start to the summer season! Welcome to May!
Real Wedding: Although K&C are one of our most private couples, we can share a few details about their wedding day with you! The pair welcomed their guests to a private home for both their ceremony and reception. The day began when they exchanged vows in front of the most picturesque fountain and greenhouse. Post ceremony, guests sipped on cocktails on the lawn and were greeted by very friendly horses. A sailcloth tent from Sperry Tents awaited all for the reception, which was catered by the esteemed Blue Hill at Stone Barns. A gospel choir surprised guests, florals designed by Sullivan Owen overflowed in the space, and Elan Artists kept everyone on the dance floor in front of an incredible custom built light wall by Eventions! Pat Furey was on hand to capture every detail, and you can see so much more from the fantastic vendor team on our blog.
Now Trending: We took over the Philadelphia Wedding Instagram account last month and posted a number of stunning photos from shows such as Ines di Santo, Rivini, and Reem Acra. You can catch so many of the photos right here, plus we were honored to be featured on Ines di Santo’s Instagram feed! It’s so difficult to choose a favorite gown among so many stunning designs.
Q: My fiancé and I would like to have some time alone after the ceremony. How we can ensure this happens?
A: “We make sure to pre-designate a room or area where the bride and groom can go right after the ceremony. It’s important to discuss this with your planner or venue manager so that they can create a clear path to the room so you’re not stopped by guests and family on the way.” – Wedding Director, Susan Norcross. You can find more from us right here!
Around Town: We cannot rave enough about the Philadelphia based BHLDN team, and they just launched a complete collection filled with pieces perfect for your honeymoon. They definitely have tropical destinations in mind, and we’re sure you will find a few pieces to add to your suitcase. We’re partial to this dress, bathing suit, and necklace, but there’s so much more to see and shop
