Caitlin and Chetan met at a mutual friends’ wedding in Trinidad. Though friendly from the start, it wasn’t until they discovered their shared love of Philadelphia that the chemistry began.
Chetan is of Indian descent, so the day started off with a baraat on the streets of Center City, an Indian wedding tradition where the groom and company process to the wedding venue with music and dancing. The ceremony took place at the Loews, under a beautiful mandap, designed by Sullivan Owen. After the ceremony, they dashed off to a quick costume change (with the crucial assistance of the team from Beke Beau and Amanda D’Andrea), and reemerged for pictures with Ash Imagery at the Rodin Museum on a perfect Autumn day.

Guests arrived to a light reception at the exquisite PAFA historic building, where they could wander and admire the priceless artwork and unique ambiance of the building. They were married (again!) in a ceremony in the rotunda, literally surrounded by their loved ones. The party then moved to PAFA’s modern Hamilton building for cocktails, dinner, and dancing, where the dance floor was packed until close courtesy of DJ Jon Gill.

Caitlin and Chetan mentioned the best part of the day was seeing friends and families celebrating together, as one community, and enjoying new wedding traditions. Although the day was busy, they enjoyed every second of it. Knowing full well how clichéd it sounds, it truly was the best day of their lives!
