Happy February to you! We hope you’re staying warm despite the cold temperatures (and blizzard conditions) that are happening outside of your window. Although The Styled Bride Team stayed inside as Jonas rolled through, we were cheering on some of our Philadelphia wedding pros braving the storm to serve their couples well.
One of the weddings we had the honor of coordinating on New Year’s Eve is already receiving mentions on the Philadelphia Wedding blog! We spent the day with Editor Carrie Denny Whitcraft and her husband Mike. While we would love to share more, everything else must stay under wraps for now!
We also shared another exciting feature – Amanda and Ben’s Horticulture Center Wedding was featured in Main Line Today! We’re always happy to team up with Love ‘n Fresh Flowers, Starr Catering, and Ash Photography.
In this month’s edition of The Styled Note, we’re sharing more about Elizabeth and Winston’s marvelous wedding day, chatting with one of our go-to videographers, CinemaCake Filmmakers, answering your questions about the latest cake trends, and sharing a fun girls night out for you and your bridesmaids in honor Valentine’s Day!
We’re already looking forward to seeing emails from newly engaged couples just after Valentine’s Day! Our 2016 and 2017 dates are filling quickly, so make sure to contact us if you’re dreaming of a Styled Bride wedding.
Stay in the know by following us on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest! Have a wonderful February!

Real Wedding: Although Elizabeth and Winston both attended Vasser, it wasn’t until four years after graduating that they finally struck up a conversation at a friend’s wedding. A night spent enjoying dinner and wine together turned into their first date, and E+W have been together ever since! Their fall wedding day at The University of Pennsylvania Museum of Anthropology and Archaeology was nothing short of stunning. Elizabeth wore a lovely Monique Lhuillier gown from The Wedding Shoppe, the gents wore classic tuxedos, and Evantine Design created fall-inspired bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpieces from in season blooms. Guests dined on cuisine crafted by Restaurant Associates, and we could not get enough of all of the classic scroll stationery pieces designed by Two Paper Dolls. There’s so many more pictures by Lauren Fair Photography on our blog; don’t miss it!

Now Trending: Meet Dave Williams of CinemaCake Filmmakers in January’s Styled Spotlight! Dave’s passion for film began years ago when he filmed family events on Super8 film. Now, he now runs his business alongside his wife, Sheryl, and stays constantly inspired by each couple’s unique wedding day story. So many of the couples he works with say their wedding video feels like a movie, and we know you will agree once you read and see more in Dave’s Q&A!

Q: What’s your best piece of advice for couples as they choose their cake?
Nutmeg Cake Design: The cake is one of the many parts of the wedding that can truly be personalized – have fun with it! We encourage couples to include patterns or textures from their dress or invitations, meaningful quotes or a custom topper! We think traditions have relaxed over the years and the cake is really an opportunity to create a piece of art that voices the love story.
Want more cake? We also chatted with a few more area bakers, and you’ll find their answers here!
