Happy November, and welcome back to The Styled Note! For almost all wedding professionals, October is one of the busiest months. The weather is perfectly crisp, yet some of late summer’s warmth still lingers. There’s just enough light for early evening ceremonies, and receptions start to include lounges by the fire. It’s a wonderful month to tie the knot, and so many of our couples agree. Our team styled, planned, and celebrated no less than five weddings this month, two of which were amazing fusion weddings both in the same weekend!
We kicked off October with Meghan and Sean at Rose Bank Winery in Newtown. It poured on their wedding day, but everyone was in the best spirits regardless. The winery looked stunning, and we can’t wait to share photos soon! The following weekend, we traveled to Bridal Fashion Week. We were thrilled to see beloved designers’ collections in person and discover new favorites we can’t wait to share with you. In the meantime, hop over to Philadelphia Wedding magazine’s Instagram because we filled their feed with gorgeous gowns and stunning details during our takeover. Our month continued with two soirees at the Philadelphia Horticulture Center (have you seen the trailer from Crystal and Mike’s wedding?), a breathtaking celebration at the University of Penn Museum Philadelphia, and a modern fete at the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts (we adore this photo of Caitlin and her bridesmaids!).
We’re returning to the University of Penn Museum Philadelphia this weekend for a wedding that’s sure to be nothing short of stunning, and we’re counting down the days until we’re able to collaborate with our couple’s dream team. Real Wedding: Molly and Jon are one of the sweetest pairs ever. They welcomed guests to the Long Beach Island Center for the Arts Foundation on a warm day in September. Their celebration began on the beach where they recited their vows under a simple chuppah on the sand before joining family and friends in a tent filled with rustic details and a palette of ivory and green. The evening’s menu included delicious fare from LBI favorite Black Eyed Susan’s catering division, Small Potatoes, and the Fuzzpops kept everyone on the dance floor for the entire night. Though every detail was lovely, the most memorable moment of the night belongs to Jon who serenaded Molly with his own version of Mr. Big’s “I’m The One Who Wants To Be With You.” It was a fun day, indeed, and we shared more photos from Alex Rivera for Ann Coen Photography on our blog!
Now Trending: Just a few weeks ago, we traveled to Bridal Fashion Week in New York City. We saw the latest collections from well-known designers in spaces that had some of the prettiest views of the city (did you catch this Marchesa gown?). From glamorous Sareh Nouri gowns to beautiful textures created with nontraditional materials by Lela Rose, we shared our experience onPhiladelphia Wedding’s Instagram. Around Town: Elisabeth and Jeff’s New Hope wedding was one of our most unforgettable weddings this summer. Held at the bride’s mother’s home in New Hope, E+J incorporated meaningful vows, beautiful details, friends, family, and their adorable dog, Hadley, into their wedding day. With photos by Love Me Do, we’re so excited to share Elisabeth and Jeff’s celebration is featured on Carats and Cake!
