Happy October! Welcome to our first official Styled Note of the 2015 fall season. As we welcome a new month, we also start the height of our busiest wedding season. Our team is styling multiple events each weekend, plus we’re putting the finishing touches on our schedule for Bridal Fashion Week in New York City. We’re thrilled to preview the latest wedding dress trends for spring 2016 straight from the runways of top designers. We don’t want to share too much just yet, but we can assure you that you will want to be following us on Instagram and keeping an eye on our blog for our official recap and trend forecast. It’s safe to say we can’t wait to get this month underway!
Before we get too far ahead into October, we have to highlight a few of the moments we loved in September. At the end of August, we planned, coordinated, and styled a wedding along the water in Maryland, and we absolutely love the note the bride posted to The Knot! September continued with a multicultural wedding at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia. Then, our team traveled to Long Beach Island and Little Egg Harbor for two stunning weddings. One is featured below in our Real Wedding section, so keep reading! We also loved catching up with the 13th Street Cocktail crew, and we’re always excited to attend the launch party in honor of the latest issue of Philadelphia Wedding magazine. Have you picked up your copy?
Our October season started at Rose Bank Winery in Newtown, PA, and the rain didn’t stop us from designing a beautiful wedding day for Meghan and Sean. From the Horticultural Center to the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, we’re returning to a few of our top venues this month. Of course, we will be sharing behind-the-scenes moments on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest!
Below you will find a trending color palette, hidden gem venues you need to know more about in Philadelphia and beyond, plus an introduction to the city’s newest wedding vendor – Meredith from Bella Bridesmaids (hint: her boutique is officially open!). Keep reading, and have a wonderful month!
Real Wedding: Casey and Cameron’s nautical wedding suited the couple and their Little Egg Harbor Yacht Club venue perfectly, and it was not a surprise when the couple arrived on their boat! Guests were welcomed into the celebratory weekend with bags complete with anchor trays designed by Casey’s mom. Hello, Bird calligraphy penned her organic style pieces of driftwood that served as each couple’s escort card, and Ashley also designed a sailcloth menu for the family style dinner. The cake from OC Cake Studio was completely delicious (have you seen it yet?), and we love that Cameron kept his camera with him throughout the night. As the owner of the production company Parlay Studios, it was so important for him to capture a few of the day’s best moments on his own. We’ll be sharing even more photos soon!
Now Trending: We hinted at a blog post featuring a trending color palette that’s sure to become a classic, and now it’s live on our blog! All white weddings are classic and elegant, and they’re also completely organic and fresh. Style your tablescape with white linens, recite your vows under an arch complete with a bounty of white hydrangea, and treat your guests to an all white wedding lounge.
Around Town: Bella Bridesmaids officially celebrated its grand opening next week, and it’s high time you made an appointment to check out the shop with your bridesmaids! There are so many top designer gowns carried in the boutique, and we’re sure you will love the shop’s owner, Meredith, just as much as the gowns. Curious to learn more? We introduced Meredith in our Styled Spotlight series!
