Welcome to September’s edition of The Styled Note! As we bid adieu to summer and put final preparations into place for our fall wedding season, let’s take a moment to recap August.
 
Just as every couple’s wedding style varies, so too do the venues we visit to plan and style their unique celebrations. We kicked off the month with Andrew and Elissa’s soiree at the Union League, which seamlessly matched the couple’s elegance and sophistication. After eagerly preparing for Laura and Mike’s wedding, it was truly a joy for our team to coordinate and style their celebration at the Franklin Institute. We cannot wait to share more from their quirky day inspired by the stars! Hosted at a private estate in Maryland, another August highlight was Peter and Alyssa’s wedding from this past weekend. A stunning bride, a stellar team of professionals, and a night that ended with fireworks – you can catch more of the behind-the-scenes moments on Instagram!
 
August was a full month for our team, and we’re looking ahead to a quintessential Philadelphia wedding at the Loews Hotel and a fabulous oceanside celebration in Long Beach Island (remember the couple’s invitation?) just to name a few. Plus, we’re in the middle of creating a number of features to share on our blog that highlight bakeries we adore, go-to hairstyles for brides, and a Styled Spotlight with Bella Bridesmaids! Real Wedding: Lawyers Elisabeth and Jeff bonded over mortgages, spreadsheets, and Elisabeth’s adorable French bulldog, Hadley. Just over a year later, the duo got engaged and started planning their New Hope union. E+J recited their vows overlooking a neighboring farm on the bride’s mother’s exquisite Bucks County property, mingled with guests over cocktails inside the adjacent barn, and danced the night away underneath a sailcloth tent. Elisabeth’s straight from the runway Vera Wang gown, garden inspired florals by Fleur de Lis, delicious farm to table menu created by Max Hansen, and vintage pieces from Maggpie Rentals made for one fabulous wedding. We’re sharing more of the fantastic photos captured by Love Me Do on our blog, plus you can catch highlights from the couple’s day in Tweed’s video!

Now Trending: We wanted to give Note subscribers a sneak peek at a palette inspiration post that will be live on our blog this week! While it’s trending now, we expect all white weddings to become a classic. To pull this palette together, we’re envisioning bridesmaids wearing white dresses, bouquets and centerpieces filled with all white blooms, an elegant all white cake, and more. White is organic and fresh, but it’s also elegant and timeless. Similar to Kara and Boo’s celebration, we love how this palette also allows the views from your venue to take center stage

Q&A –  Q: If a couple wants to develop a signature cocktail, can you walk us through your process? 
13th Street Cocktails: We always offer a cocktail menu tasting for any client. If the client isn’t able to meet prior to event, we just ask them if there are any flavors or style of drinks that they normally order and we can modify from there. After we select a few cocktails, we ask the client if they want to name the drinks. That part is the most fun. See more in the feature!
