Enter Jeff and Elisabeth both looking for a change, they matriculate to the same law firm. Jeff works on evidence, going through tens of thousands of mortgage loans. Elisabeth works on discovery, dealing with documents, defendants and vendors. They meet on a cool spring day in 2013, where Elisabeth really wants a shamrock shake and Jeff remarks that the new girl is awfully cute.
And so, over the summer of 2013, Elisabeth and Jeff strike up a friendship. They get coffee together. They pour over mortgages. They trade spreadsheets. Elisabeth shows Jeff a picture of her chubby French bulldog, Hadley, who Jeff initially dismisses as a “fad purchase” but is now crazy about.

Elisabeth and Jeff date for over a year. They pull long hours at the office. They grab meatballs on the way home at 2am. They go back and forth between the West Village and Union Square. They take Hadley to the dog park. They sneak away to St. Lucia. They move to Brooklyn. Jeff asks Elisabeth to marry him. They take a victory lap in France and Spain. And now, after billions of dollars in recoveries, thousands of billable hours, and hundreds of dog walks, Elisabeth and Jeff got married.
