We know just about everyone was counting down the days until the start of summer’s most official holiday, July 4th! We hope you had a great weekend and wanted to share our latest edition of the Styled Note with you to brighten up your Monday morning.
Just like May, June was another busy month filled with weddings throughout the Philadelphia area. Our team welcomed a triple wedding weekend with gusto, and we planned and styled celebrations at Terrain at Styers, a lovely residence in Bucks County, and in Stone Harbor, NJ. We wrapped up the month at the Please Touch Museum, which is a great venue for whimsical celebrations in the city. There are a number of sneak peeks on Instagram and in our latest Styled Social Media post on our blog!
In case you missed it, we were featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer where we talked about the biggest food trends for 2015! One of our couples loved cereal and opted for a late night cereal bar, plus we’re always on board with brides and grooms who choose to offer cookies and milk to guests as favors before they depart. Make sure to read the entire article here – you may also hear about a few new ideas we’re planning for summer and fall weddings to come.
In this month’s note, we’re featuring Christina and Marcus’s gorgeous Ritz Carlton wedding, chatting about one of 2015’s biggest pattern trends, and inviting you to one of the best wedding sample sales happening this summer (Hint: BHLDN – clear your calendar); keep reading below!
As always, make sure to stay tuned to our blog, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest for updates throughout July, including July 4th wedding inspiration and a brand new Styled Spotlight feature. Thank you for following along!
Real Wedding: Sometimes the greatest outcomes occur when you’re least expecting it. Due to a busy work schedule, Christina thought about not attending a luncheon in honor of the Washington Government Relations Group. However, she decided to attend anyway, and that’s where and when she met Marcus. Their initial meeting lead to an elegant and traditional wedding that began with their ceremony at The Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, and their reception followed at the Ritz Carlton Philadelphia. We absolutely loved working with Christina and Marcus, and we’re so grateful for the amazing team that made their day possible! You can find more photos on Instagram and on photographer Danielle Nowak’s blog.

Now Trending: Floral patterns are one of the most popular trends for 2015. However, we don’t feel florals are simply a trend. We’re redefining them as a classic! From patterned bridesmaid dresses and gowns for brides to the prettiest stationery and cascading blooms, we’ve rounded up the pieces that are inspiring our crush on florals on the blog. Patterns and real blooms – you definitely need to see more!
Around Town: There’s an upcoming chance to shop local at BHLDN! On Saturday, July 11, our favorite Philadelphia based wedding brand is hosting a sample sale at The Navy Yard from 9 am – 12 pm. Gowns are starting at just $100, and all sales are final. Unlike other sample sales, you do not need to make an appointment. Make sure to visit our blog to see the official invitation, which includes the address and a link to directions. It’s a sample sale that cannot be missed! {Photo via BHLDN on Instagram}
