Happy June! Whether you’re hosting a wedding, attending an event, or planning the best ways to explore the city and the shore, we hope your summer season is already well underway.
The only way to describe May is to say it was a very full month complete with a number of stunning weddings planned, styled, and coordinated by our team. The month was definitely highlighted by both celebrations at the Ritz Carlton Philadelphia, including Chrysten and Matt’s wedding. We’ve included a quick glimpse into C + M’s day below, and you’ll want to keep an eye on our blog because we’re featuring their full wedding very soon. We also have to note that we love the Ritz Carlton’s close proximity to City Hall for photos just like this one. We wrapped up the month outside of the city with a wedding we won’t soon forget. The weather was beautiful, the team included the best of the best from the city and beyond, and our couple could not have been happier!
Of course we have to note a few of our top posts from our blog, too. Although so much of the focus of a wedding day is on the bride and groom, we had to press pause and honor moms. If you’re curious about what your mom should wear on your wedding day and where to find the best pieces, make sure to read our Q&A below. If you’re not already following along with Styled Social Media, you can find our top posts from Instagram and Pinterest in one place each month. Finally, we’re kicking off the season with our 10 favorite things about summertime weddings!
In June, you’ll find us welcoming brides, grooms, and guests at terrain, the Please Touch Museum, and a beautiful private residence tucked away in Bucks County. Make sure to follow along on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest for all of our behind-the-scenes posts from our first full month of our summer wedding season.
Real Wedding: Chrysten is from outside of Philadelphia; Matt is from Boston; and the pair met while they were both living in San Francisco during a night out listening to an 80’s cover band. C + M were married at The Church of the Holy Trinity along Rittenhouse Square, and their lovely reception followed at the Ritz Carlton Philadelphia. Lanterns and greenery lined the stairs, and more beautiful blooms by Petals Lane welcomed guests in the ballroom. If it’s not obvious from their story, Chrysten and Matt love dancing, so we weren’t surprised when they were eager to spend the night on the dance floor with help from their band CTO 5th Avenue. We’ll be recapping C + M’s wedding on our blog soon, but make sure to visit Lauren Fair Photography’s blog now to see many more photos from their beautiful day!
Now Trending: We love planning wedding ceremonies in traditional houses of worship, but we’re just as eager to style ceremony backdrops in more untraditional settings (think: industrial spaces, beaches, and gardens). We love the idea of honoring loved ones by creating a backdrop of wedding photos, working with a florist to create a stunning mantle of flowers, or staying on trend and incorporating macramé into an altar. Around Town: Philadelphia-based Free People just launched a bridal collection, and the pieces are on point for bohemian brides. You have to take a look! Plus, our favorite BHLDN just launched their summer collection. Aside from new collections, the summer in Philadelphia means outdoor events are back en vogue. From parks (Spruce Street Harbor Park is the place to be!) to festivals,UWishUNu is one of the top sites to visit when planning your summer dates and nights out with friends in the city. {Photo via BHLDN)
