Happy April! We hope you had a wonderful March, and we’re sure you’re just as excited to welcome the spring season as we are.

For the first workshop in our series in March, we welcomed students to the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts for an afternoon of learning the basics of modern calligraphy from Kim of Manayunk Calligraphy. Students enjoyed brunch and mimosas from Stephan Starr events, and florals from Sullivan Owen added a sweet, fresh touch to our tables. The workshop was definitely a hit, and we will be announcing our next workshop soon. Stay tuned!

On our blog, we featured Reverie Gallery’s Editor-in-Chief Erica Powell as part of our Styled Day series. Her blog is gorgeous, and it’s the perfect place for stylish brides to visit to gather inspiration. You also don’t want to miss our post about exotic places to visit for your honeymoon (we’re definitely adding them to our bucket travel list!), a how to about choosing your veil (see our Q&A section below), and an introduction of our new team members (keep reading to learn more about both ladies).

We’re making final preparations for a stunning wedding at the Ritz Carlton this month, and take note of our Around Town section for a number of events happening in the city that you may want to attend. As always, follow along on with us on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. We hope you have a wonderful April!

Introducing Arielle & Carly:

We’re delighted to officially welcome Arielle and Carly to The Styled Bride Team. Both of these ladies have been working away at weddings since last year, so we thought it was high time to formally introduce them to Styled Note subscribers and website visitors.

Arielle works as a wedding day assistant and day of coordinator for our team. She’s passionate about designing innovative events, including mitzvahs, and her dedication to clients allows her to develop meaningful relationships with them. As you can tell from her photo, Arielle is always smiling and a true joy to have present on wedding days!

Carly joined our team as a wedding day assistant, but she also works behind the scenes as our marketing coordinator. A creative writer, Carly curates pins on Pinterest, writes weekly blogs, and also designs and writes The Styled Note. Flowers are the first detail to catch her eye at every event, design inspires her, and she thrives on truly getting to know clients and families.

Now Trending:

We introduced a new series in March: Styled Social Media! Each month, we’ll be sharing the top five posts from Instagram and Pinterest on our blog. Followers loved our behind-the-scenes shots of spring wedding prep on Instagram and gravitated toward a nautical sign by LH Calligraphy perfect for summer beach weddings on Pinterest. You can repin your favorites and follow along here!

Q: I would love to wear a veil on my wedding day, but there are so many different styles. How do I choose the right one?

A: There are few things more dramatic than seeing a bride walk down the aisle wearing a veil. When choosing your veil, first consider whether your dress designer created one with your dress in mind. If not, look to other styles that will range in length from blushers (falling at your shoulders, it’s the shortest length) to chapel (extending beyond your train, it’s the longest length). We’re going into much more detail on our blog!

Around Town:

There are a number of notable events happening throughout the city in April. Reserve your spot to learn how to DIY your own invitations at Paper Source, or plan to spend an afternoon with Jennie of Love ‘n Fresh Flowers as she teaches students how to create floral crowns at her flower farm. If you’re searching for a dress, Paloma Blanca and Nicole Miller are both having trunk shows.
