Happy March! This month, we’re thrilled to welcome spring wedding season, which means the return of outdoor weddings, softer palettes, and a number of gorgeous in-season blooms. We’re excited for a busy bridal season and looking forward to revisiting some of our favorite venues, working with new locations, and constructing sites at a few private homes. Plus, we’re looking forward to our first workshop – Modern Calligraphy – as part of our new series (there’s more info below)!
In February, we traveled throughout Philadelphia and beyond as we met with couples that recently got engaged over the holidays. Send us a note if you’re hoping to secure a date for 2016 or beyond!
You also don’t want to miss any of the February features from our blog. We interviewed three top stationers about working with a professional for your wedding paper, gathered our favorite pink and red pieces to inspire palettes beyond Valentine’s Day, plannedideal itineraries for bachelorette parties set in the city aside from simply going to a bar, and more. A few of our favorite February features are included below, so keep reading!
As always, make sure to stay up to date by following us on Instagram, Facebook, andPinterest. We hope you have a wonderful March and enjoy the start of spring!
Real Wedding: Amanda is passionate; Ben is laid back. And they met because they were two of the first people to arrive at a party as students at Syracuse University. They both share the same set of core values – both of their families top the list –which were highlighted at their fabulous January wedding at the Horticulture Center. Love N Fresh Flowers designed the bevy of blooms, including Amanda’s bouquet and all of the centerpieces. Guests dined on a menu of seasonal cuisine prepared by Stephen Starr Events while seated inside of the greenhouse, and few people left the dance floor once CTO Tribeca started to play. We’re so grateful for all of the moments captured by Ash Imagery!
Now Trending: Just like theGolden Globes, wedding fashion was trending at The Oscars. From white and blush colored gowns to dresses embellished with beading and pearls, it was difficult to choose a wedding ready look we loved the most. But, Giuliana Rancic’s floor length lace dress definitely wins. You can see our complete list of Oscar fashion favorites right here!
Around Town: On Sunday, March 8, we’re hosting the first workshop in our new Styled Workshop series. We’re welcoming brides-to-be and creatives-at-heart to the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art from 11 am – 2 pm for a Modern Calligraphy how-to with Kim from Manayunk Calligraphy. You’ll learn all of the basics and enjoy brunch bites from Stephen Starr Events. Want to join us?There are still a few seats available!
