The Styled Note- January

Happy New Year! There’s truly no better way for us to kickoff 2015 than to share with you that we are featured in the 20th Anniversary Issue of Martha Stewart Weddings. You’ll find us listed as one of the top 63 wedding planners in the country! We are absolutely thrilled to have been chosen by the Martha Stewart Weddings Team as top planners, and we are honored to be included with some of most respected names in the industry. The issue is on newsstands now, and you can also find us included in a great slideshow online

We already have a few fantastic features in the works for our blog for January (hint: a new Styled Spotlight will launch soon!), but we wanted to highlight a few of our favorite posts from December. Be sure to catch Modern Trousseau’s Designer, Callie Tein, in our Styled Day series. You will also want to pin our holiday gift guide to refer back to forbirthday gifts for the bride-to-be.

We adored the variety of weddings we planned and designed in 2014 and the locations we visited. Lindsay and Anthony’s Kimmel Center wedding and Cait and Mike’sWaterworks soiree brought us into Center City; Allison and Will allowed us to travel to Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem; and we still have flashbacks to the summer from Lauren and John’s elegant rustic fete at The Farm at Eagles Ridge in Lancaster. We are already so excited to celebrate with couples at tented affairs in New Hope and Maryland and design festive and elegant affairs at the Franklin Institute, Ritz Carlton, Penn Museum, Horticulture Center, and many more in 2015!

Real Wedding: As M2 photography stated, Christa and Adler fit together perfectly. We’ve learned this as their friends, but we still cannot agree more. The pair had beautiful weather on their wedding day. So beautiful, in fact, that we were able to visit a local park for them to snap a few photos with their wedding party before their black tie reception at the Hyatt at the Bellevue. The ballroom was filled with gorgeous light, so much beauty, a wonderful team of wedding professionals, and a surprise choreographed first dance. Christa and Adler’s wedding day was one of our favorites from 2014 because they radiate joy. You can see more of their wedding photos on our blog.

Now Trending: Meet Pantone’s Color of the Year: Marsala! At first glance, this shade of wine seems perfect for fall and winter weddings. And it is! But, we are dreaming of ways to incorporate it into spring and summer palettes, too. See how we envision styling Marsala with notes of hunter green, dusty blue, and red. Plus, you can weave the color’s theme throughout your soiree. {Photo via Grey Likes Weddings}

As always, please stay tuned to Instagram and Facebook where we will be sharing sneak peeks throughout the month. In fact, our first wedding of the season is this weekend! We hope you have a wonderful January.
